 Submitted by: G. Kamradt 05-11-10 Just at the top of the cables My friends and I went up to Half Dome but the poles holding the cables were not up yet. A couple other people had gone up that we saw. We didn't hike all the way up there not to do it. So we put the cable between our legs and marched up. Took a lot more work than with the poles and my forearms were in a lot of pain afterward. |

Dani was very prepared and safely harnessed to Jim the entire walk up and down the cables. As you can see, the cables that day were not crowded. If you feel the climbing conditions are even a little unsafe, DO NOT proceed up the cables as you can cause injury to yourself and/or others. |
